Sausage and Egg Breakfast Casserole is a perfectly easy breakfast casserole that makes morning times easy and delicious. You wont want to skip breakfast when ready to serve up a full fledged protein way to start your day! Perfect for summer time and the kids are home and hungry, or special holidays where the whole family is together, sausage and egg casserole also pairs well with fried breakfast potatoes and a side of sweet orange glazed bread.
Sausage and Egg Breakfast Casserole
This casserole is made in a 9×9 pan. You could certainly change this into a 9×13 pan if you double the recipe but you would need to adjust baking time. I haven’t done it yet so I don’t know what it would be, but just monitor for the eggs being cooked through.
Sausage and egg breakfast casserole is also quick to make if your sausage is already browned, only about 10 minutes plus baking time.
- 6 slices wheat bread, cut into 1/2″ cubes
- 1 lb, ground sausage, browned
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup half and half (or milk)
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
