Peanut butter Buckeyes smothered in chocolate is an easy, no-bake and make-ahead dessert that works perfectly to kick off the rest of 2021.
Let’s get started!
Totally kid friendly, this is a dessert that brings the family together to create magic on the weekends!
01 Make sure to use parchment paper so balls do not stick to sheet.
02 Combine peanut butter, powdered sugar, and butter.
03 Let balls sit in fridge to harden.
04 Carefully melt down chocolate chips.
05 Dip hardened peanut butter balls into chocolate.
06 Place in fridge or freezer until set.
Make the peanut butter mixture.
We like a super creamy peanut butter like Jif. Combine with melted butter and powdered sugar.
Starting with 2 cups of powdered sugar, slowly add until mixture starts to solidify enough to form a dough.
Portion out each ball.
A tablespoon scoop works perfectly to portion and shape buckeyes.
Make and set.
Make all peanut butter balls and place on a sheet pan covered in parchment. Put in fridge or freezer to set.
Dip hardened peanut butter balls.
Dip balls into melting chocolate or chocolate chips and set on parchment paper. Do all and put back in fridge to set chocolate.
Time to enjoy!
Once set, enjoy. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks. Buckeye balls are a PERFECT bake ahead and gift dessert. They taste just like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups!
