This candied bacon, an amazing way to enjoy bacon and get a kick of sugar, is just the chewy deliciousness you have been waiting for your entire life. Move over man candy cause bacon candy just arrived and taken the stage.
Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top of the foil. Place bacon on rack and set aside.
In a small bowl, combine sugar, vinegar and maple syrup. Use a pastry brush to spread it onto the bacon. You will not use all of the topping and need to set it aside.
Place bacon into a cold oven and set to 375 degrees and set the timer for 15 minutes. Once 15 minutes is up, open oven and baste bacon with additional sugar.
Close oven and set timer to 5 minutes, and baste bacon again with additional sugar.
Repeat this process until bacon is cooked, usually around 25-35 minutes depending on the thickness of your bacon.
When cooking is complete, remove from oven and cool candied bacon before serving.
