Ingredients
Southern Style Green Beans

bacon
1
lb.
fresh green beans
1
cup
chicken broth
1/2
teaspoon
salt
1/2
teaspoon
pepper
Instructions
Cook bacon in cast iron pan or skillet until crispy to the amount preferred.
DO NOT drain grease from pan.
Remove bacon from pan and set on paper towels to cool.
Add fresh whole green beans, chicken stock broth, salt and pepper.
Cook green beans in the bacon grease, covered, for about 10 minutes.
Stir green beans frequently to sauté on all sides of the bean.
Chop cooked bacon and add back to pan.
Keeping lid removed, cook another 5-10 minutes or until beans are cooked through at the texture you like and broth is reduced.
Side Dish serves 4-6
