Cranberry Jalapeno Sauce

Ingredients

cup
water

granulated white sugar

fresh cranberries
3
fresh jalapenos
seeded and diced

tsp.
lemon juice
½
cup
cooking sherry
Instructions
Add water and sugar to a saucepan and heat over medium-high heat.
Bring mixture to a boil, frequently stirring until sugar is dissolved.
Add in cranberries, peppers, lemon juice, and sherry.
Mix well and continue to heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Cranberries will pop, and the mixture will boil.
Cook for 10 minutes or until all berries are popped open.
Remove jalapeno cranberry sauce from heat and let stand to cool. The mixture will thicken as it cools.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Can be served warm or cold.
Notes
Prefer a little sweeter? Add 1/4th cup of grape jam to the boiling mixture.
Cranberry sauce keeps in fridge about 3-4 days.
