Baked Feta Cheese Dip with a block of fresh feta cheese, Grape tomatoes, and fresh basil is a delicious savory and cheesy appetizer dip, perfect for bagel chips, pita bread or Melba toast.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Add block of feta cheese and grape tomatoes to a 2-1/2 quart casserole dish.
16 oz. feta cheese block, 2 pints grape tomatoes
Drizzle top of cheese and tomatoes with minced garlic and olive oil. Season generously with salt and pepper. Top dish with 1/3 cup freshly sliced basil. Bake dip for 30 minutes.
1 tablespoon minced garlic, 1/3 cup olive oil, sea salt, cracked black pepper, 1/3 cup chopped fresh basil
Remove Feta Cheese Dip from oven and stir. Tomatoes should pop open, however, if they don't, give them a little poke with a knife or flatten with the back of the spoon. Mix all ingredients well.
Sprinkle Feta Dip with more fresh basil before serving with melba toast, bagel chips, or pita bread pieces.
Notes
Can I use Crumbled Cheese over a Block? There are quite a few variations that work well for this cheese dip. If you are unable to get a block of feta cheese, crumbled feta cheese works just fine.
