Ingredients

Cinnamon Roll French Toast Rolls

8 slices white bread crusts removed, bread flattened with rolling pin
5 tbsp butter softened (NOT melted)
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract

Cinnamon Sugar Topping

½ cup granulated white sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon

Powdered Sugar Icing

1 tbsp powdered sugar
1 tsp water

Instructions

French Toast Roll-Ups

Use a knife to trim the crust off of 8 slices of white bread. Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice. Set aside.
In a small bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon. Mix well.
Spread filling evenly onto the bread slices and roll up.
Whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
Quickly dredge bread rolls into egg mixture, coating each side, and cook in a small frying pan (coated with butter or nonstick cooking spray), turning frequently until all sides are browned.
Dredge hot rolls into cinnamon sugar and shake off excess.
Top with icing before serving.

Homemade Sugar Icing

For the powdered sugar icing, put the powdered sugar and water into a resealable plastic sandwich bag and kneaded it until smooth.
Cut a hole in the corner and drizzle onto the cinnamon sugar. If you have too much cinnamon sugar on the rolls, it will cause the icing to just roll off.

Notes

Original TikTok Recipe:

There was too much egg left over. I’d suggest one egg and three tablespoons milk instead of the two eggs and 1/4 cup milk.

Doubling this recipe would also work just fine in using up the additional egg mixture.

Serve with: Extra powdered sugar, maple syrup, icing, or frosting.
