Ingredients

chicken breast

chicken broth

green onions
chopped

tablespoon
minced garlic

whole chilies
ends cut and sliced in half

white sugar
1/4

soy sauce

tablespoon
rice wine vinegar
1/4
teaspoon
ginger

tablespoons
cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 cup cold water

servings of cooked white rice

Instructions
Heat oil in a saucepan or large skillet.
Beat egg in a small bowl and add salt and sugar and mix well.
In a separate small bowl, combine flour and cornstarch and mix well.
Dip chicken into egg and coat well. Dredge in flower mixture and mix well. Fry in oil, about 3-5 minutes. Drain on paper towel. Set aside.
In a large saucepan, combine broth, onions, garlic, chilies, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar and ginger.
Mix well and heat over medium heat, stirring frequently until bubbly.
Reduce heat and boil for 3 minutes. Stir in cornstarch and water slurry and heat until thick.
Add chicken to mixture and heat for 3 minutes until hot.
Serve over white rice.
