Cover and cook on low for 2 hours or until hot and the sauce is thickened.
Set to warm and serve directly from the crockpot.
Notes
If you’re using a smaller crockpot, like a 3-quart, this recipe fits two 14-ounce packages of little smokies comfortably. If you’re using a larger 6-quart slow cooker, you can easily scale this up by adding a third package of sausages and increasing the barbecue sauce and seasonings slightly to keep everything coated well. The cook time stays about the same, but always check after 1.5 hours in case your larger crockpot runs hot.You can also take a shortcut and make this a 3-ingredient version by skipping the ketchup, brown sugar, and spices and just using additional store-bought BBQ sauce.
