Christmas peppermint dip with crushed candy canes and marshmallow fluff is seasonal dessert perfection. A great dessert appetizer dip ready for your holiday party.
If you are starting with full size candy canes, add them into a Ziploc bag and crush them into small pieces with a rolling pin. You can often find pre-crushed candy canes in a baking aisle if you are off season.
1/3 cup Crushed Candy Canes or Peppermints
In a medium sized bowl, add the marshmallow fluff, cream cheese, peppermint extract and a few drops of red food coloring. Mix all your creamy ingredients until well combined and your coloring is even and bright.
7 oz. Marshmallow Fluff, 8 oz. Cream Cheese – Softened, 1 tsp. Peppermint Extract, Red/Pink food coloring for color
Toss in crushed candy canes and mix until combined into the dip, this will leave some chunks in your dip and how fine you grind them prior is what decides how much crunch you get.
Scoop dip into a serving bowl and top with some extra crushed candy canes for presentation. Serve with vanilla wafters, graham crackers, or other cookie-based dippers.
