Strawberry Spinach Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing

Ingredients
Homemade Sweet Poppy Seed Dressing
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds a small, 1 ounce jar of sesame seeds is enough for 2 Tablespoons
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon minced onion
Strawberry Spinach Salad
- 10 oz. fresh spinach leaves
- 8 oz. fresh strawberries washed, tops removed and quartered
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds or pecans
- 1/3 cup grated or shredded fresh Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Homemade Sweet Poppy Seed Dressing
- Mix sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sugar, oil, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and minced onion together in a bowl.
- Let set for 10 minutes to marinate or place in fridge until ready to use. Shake before drizzling over salad.
Strawberry Spinach Salad
- Add freshly washed spinach, cut up strawberries, slivered almonds and fresh shredded or grated Parmesan cheese to a large serving bowl.
- Mix dressing well in bowl and add to salad mix. Serve spinach strawberry salad immediately.
