Equipment
- air fryer
Ingredients
- 6 Greek Style Pita Bread usually comes in a bag of 16.8 oz.
- Olive Oil see notes
- Greek or Middle Eastern Seasoning to taste
Instructions
- Remove pita bread from bag and stack all 6 on one another. Cut horizontal and then vertical for bite sized pita pieces. Place pita bread pieces into a large mixing bowl.
- Slowly drizzle on Extra Virgin Olive Oil and mix onto bread. While there is no particular "amount" just make sure bread is mostly covered and that some oil is on each piece of bread. It does not need to be "soaked."
- Starting with 1-2 tablespoons, add desired seasoning to pita bread and mix thoroughly. I recommend taste testing a piece of bread prior to adding on any more seasoning.
- Add half of pita bread to air fryer basket. Close air fryer lid.
- Air fry on 390 degrees and set time to 11 minutes.
- After 6 minutes, open and stir up pita bread with tongs or spoon, close lid and cook up to 4-6 minutes more (checking for desired crispiness).
- Once pita chips are done, remove carefully and dump onto plate. Add second half of seasoned pita bread to air fryer and cook, remember to toss half way between, and remove once desired browning is achieved (total time between 9-11 minutes).
