Notes

You can use black bean refried beans or regular refried beans.

Refried Bean dip is terrific on its own – the cream cheese and sour cream keep it soft and creamy. And there really doesn't need to be much but simple ingredients for this cream cheese bean dip to be excellent. But adding on additional fresh vegetables and homemade salsa brings this appetizer to the next level.

Tomatoes – cut up tomatoes like ripe and fresh Roma or Beefsteak.
Avocado – Avocado brings not only color but is a filling fat.
Black Olives – Sliced up black olives, easiest from a jar.
Extra Cilantro – Chopped Fresh Cilantro
Guacamole – Turn those avocados into a delicious and easy guacamole Pico De Gallo
Bell Peppers - Peppers, in general, bring a beautiful festive flavor to Mexican dishes. If you use green pepper or red peppers, they work best cooked.
Cheese - Change up the gooey cheese for Mexican blend cheese, Monterey Jack, or Pepper Jack
Combine this bean dip with enchilada dip poured on top for a filling double-decker dip.
Mexican Rice - Cook up and layer Mexican rice on the bottom of the dish before adding cream cheese bean dip. This quickly takes this game day appetizer dip into a Mexican side dish.
