1/4cupcanned dark red kidney beansdrained and rinsed
1/2teaspoonchili powder
1/2teaspoonsalt
1/4teaspooncumin
1/4teaspoonground black pepper
shredded cheese and sour creamoptional for serving
Instructions
In a small skillet or saucepan, combine uncooked ground beef, diced onion and minced garlic. Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently until beef is browned.
Add can of stewed tomatoes, drained and rinsed beans and all of the suggested seasonings.
14.5 oz. stewed tomatoes, 1/4 cup canned dark red kidney beans, 1/2 teaspoon chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon cumin, 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Over medium high heat, cook until mixture begins to boil. Stir and reduce heat to simmer.
Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and serve topped with shredded cheese and sour cream, if desired.
