Christmas Cranberry Brie Bites with Puff Pastry, easy to assemble and addictive to eat. A perfect party platter finger food for seasonal and festive flavors, bite after bite.
Preheat oven to 400 and grease 24 mini muffin cavities with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
Using a sharp knife, cut the brie cheese into 24 pieces, about 3/4" in size. You can leave the rind on the cheese.
Unroll the puff pastry and place it onto a cutting board.
Use a rolling pin to roll the pastry into a 10"x15" rectangle.
Cut into four strips one way and six strips the other way to make 24 squares.
Place one pastry square into each muffin tin cavity.
Top each cup with one piece of Brie cheese and one teaspoon of whole berry cranberry sauce.
Sprinkle the top of the bite with crushed walnuts and coarse sea salt.
Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Let the appetizer stand to cool for a few minutes before removing them from the pan. For best results, serve Cranberry Brie bites warm.
Notes
This recipe can be assembled approx 48 hours ahead of need be. Simply assemble in a muffin tin, wrap with cling wrap and then foil and place in the fridge. Once ready to cook, proceed to the preheated oven.For an even quicker assembly, purchase premade frozen phyllo shells and follow the instructions for baking on the bag.
