Make this quick and easy fantasy fudge using marshmallow creme, chocolate chips, and evaporated milk—all in the microwave! This rich, creamy fudge is a classic holiday treat that comes together in minutes. Perfect for holiday gifting or satisfying your sweet tooth in a pinch.
Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with foil and set aside.
In a large microwave-safe bowl, add 3/4 cup butter and microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir until completely melted. Add 3 cups granulated sugar and 2/3 cup evaporated milk to the bowl and mix well.
Microwave on high for 3 minutes, then stir. Microwave for an additional 2 minutes and stir again. Microwave for another 3 minutes (the mixture will bubble and double in size) and stir. Microwave for a final 2 1/2 minutes, stirring well. Be careful—the bowl will be hot!Important note: This will bubble and boil to twice the size of the ingredients in the bowl, so make sure you use a large microwave safe bowl. Mine did not boil over, but it got all the way to top and stayed there. Also, CAREFUL! Bowl is very hot! My bowl says 2.5 qt size.
Let the mixture sit for 2 minutes, then stir in 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips until melted and smooth. Add one 7 oz tub of marshmallow creme and mix until fully combined.
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Allow to cool completely at room temperature. Once set, lift the fudge out using the foil, peel away, and cut into squares. Store at room temp.
Notes
Microwave Wattage Matters: My microwave is 1,000 watts, and this recipe works best in microwaves between 900-1,050 watts. If yours differs, consider using a microwave conversion chart to adjust the timing.
