Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker Sweet Potatoes (with IP too!)
Pressure cooker sweet potatoes in the Instant Pot or Ninja Foodi take a quarter of the time to prep which means getting delicious sweet potato side dishes are now a cinch! Use your sweet potatoes for other recipes OR add optional brown sugar recipe below to sweet and serve as is. Fast, easy, and super simple, this is one of the BEST ways to pressure cook sweet potatoes!
Peel sweet potatoes and place into Ninja Foodi inner ceramic gray pot.
Add 1 cup water directly to the pot.
Place pressure cooker lid onto the Ninja Foodi and seal shut.
Close the pressure release valve.
Set the Ninja Foodi on Pressure Cooker HIGH for 12 minutes.
When cooking cycle is complete, let pressure naturally release for 10 minutes and then quick release any remaining steam.
Carefully twist open the Foodi.
Remove potatoes from pot with tongs and mash with a potato masher. Season as you like.
Instant Pot Sweet Potatoes
Peel sweet potatoes and place into an ovenproof bowl that fits into your instant pot.
Place trivet into the instant pot and add 1 cup water. Place the bowl on top of the trivet.
Place the lid onto the instant pot and seal shut. Close the pressure release valve.
Set the instant pot to manual, high pressure for 12 minutes.
When cooking cycle is complete, let pressure naturally release for 10 minutes and quick release any remaining steam. Carefully open instant pot.
Remove potatoes from pot and mash with a potato masher.
(OPTIONAL TO SWEETEN) Stir in butter, sugar, cinnamon and salt. Mix well and serve immediately.
Top with additional butter if desired.
