Sloppy Joe Sliders with homemade joe sauce in a meat mixture smothered onto King's Hawaiian sweet rolls are great as a hearty appetizer or an easy weeknight dinner recipe.
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion, stirring frequently until the beef is cooked through. Drain any excess grease and return the meat to the pan.
1 lb ground beef, 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion
Season with salt and pepper, then add the barbecue sauce, ketchup, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir everything together and let it cook on low for 8-10 minutes to mix the flavors.
Salt and pepper, 1/2 cup barbecue sauce, 1/2 cup ketchup, 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard, 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease an 11"x7" baking pan. Arrange the bottom halves of the Hawaiian dinner rolls in the baking dish. Spoon the sloppy joe meat mixture evenly over the rolls, then top with shredded cheddar cheese.
Place the tops of the slider buns over the cheese. Brush the melted butter over the rolls and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for about 12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden.
2 tablespoons butter, Sesame seeds
Slice into individual sliders and serve hot with a variety of extra toppings.
