When it comes to sliders, the Roast Beef and Cheddar combo is a hard one to beat. These sliders are loaded with tender, thinly sliced roast beef, sharp cheddar cheese, and a buttery topping that makes the rolls perfectly crisp on top. Whether you’re serving them as a quick family dinner or dishing sliders at a party, they’re sure to be a hit.
Plus, if you’re hosting a gathering, it’s a great idea to mix things up by offering a variety of sliders—like my Ham and Cheese Sliders or the always-popular Pizza Sliders. This gives your guests a range of flavors to enjoy!
Ingredients for Roast Beef and Cheddar Sliders
- 1 package (12 oz) slider-size Hawaiian rolls, sliced in half
- 12 ounces thinly sliced roast beef
- 10 slices cheddar cheese
- 2/3 cup horseradish sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Everything bagel seasoning (for a crunchy, flavorful topping)
How to Make Roast Beef and Cheddar Sliders
Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease an 11″x7″ baking pan with nonstick spray. Place the bottom halves of the Hawaiian rolls into the prepared pan.
Spread a thin layer of horseradish sauce over the rolls. If you’re not a fan of horseradish, feel free to use mayonnaise or mustard for a milder flavor. Layer on 5 slices of cheddar cheese (you may need to cut the slices to fit the buns).
Add the roast beef, spreading it evenly over the cheese, then top with the remaining 5 slices of cheddar. Place the top halves of the rolls on the sliders. Brush the melted butter over the tops of the rolls and sprinkle generously with everything bagel seasoning for extra flavor and crunch.
Bake for 16-18 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the sliders are heated through. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve hot. These sliders go great with a side of Arby’s sauce or horseradish for dipping!
These Roast Beef and Cheddar Sliders are perfect for pairing with something tangy like the Buffalo Chicken Sliders or for balancing out with the sweeter notes of Sloppy Joe Sliders.
Tips for Roast Beef and Cheddar Sliders
- Make them spicier: If you want a little heat, add a few slices of jalapeño or use pepper jack cheese instead of cheddar.
- Add a dipping sauce: Serve with horseradish, Arby’s sauce, or even a side of au jus for an extra flavor boost.
- Prepping ahead: You can assemble these sliders a few hours in advance and store them in the fridge. Bake them just before your guests arrive for an easy, hot appetizer.
