Sliders are my go-to when I need something quick, easy, and crowd-pleasing for family gatherings or even a busy weeknight dinner. Pizza sliders take the best parts of pizza—cheesy goodness, endless topping options, and a crispy bottom—and pack them into a bite-sized form.
Call it an appetizer, party platter, or an easy dinner recipe, but whatever you call it, make sure to add this sandwich to the menu! Simply put, Pizza Sliders are delicious. The part we love the most about making these taste like pizza? You can easily adapt it to include your family’s favorite toppings!
Ingredients
- 1 package (12 oz) slider-size Hawaiian rolls, sliced in half
- 2/3 cup pizza sauce, plus extra for dipping
- 6 slices provolone cheese
- Pepperoni slices (add as much or as little as you like)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 cup diced ham
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
How to Make Pizza Sliders
Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease an 11″x7″ baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. If your Hawaiian rolls aren’t pre-sliced, go ahead and slice them in half to create your slider buns.
Place the bottom halves of the rolls into the prepared pan. Spread the pizza sauce in an even layer over the rolls. Layer on the provolone cheese slices followed by pepperoni slices.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese and oregano over the pepperoni. Finally, add your diced ham on top.
Place the top halves of the rolls on the sliders. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning. Brush this mixture over the tops of the rolls. Bake the sliders for 16-18 minutes or until the cheese is melted and everything is hot in the center.
Slice and serve hot with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
Tips for the Best Sliders
- Get creative with toppings: You can easily swap the pepperoni and ham for your family’s favorite toppings like mushrooms, onions, or sausage. This makes serving slider recipes at a party a great customized choice no matter what tastebuds are there!
- Make ahead: These sliders can be prepped ahead of time. Just assemble the sliders without the topping, cover the pan with foil, and store them in the fridge for up to 24 hours. When you’re ready to serve, add topping and bake as directed!
- Reheating leftovers: To keep the rolls crispy, reheat sliders in the oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes. Avoid using the microwave, which can make the rolls soggy.
