Looking for a pie recipe that just screams summer? Nothing really comes closer than Lemonade pie. With only 2 ingredients, this pie filling provides all the flavor of a tall glass of lemonade but in dessert form.
With a creamy texture and the light flavor of Cool Whip topping, this is a 10 minute prep pie that is perfect for BBQs and potlucks. And while you may have seen this one pop up on social media and scrolled by, now is your chance to dive in and ENJOY.
Personally, I can get a bit intimidated when it comes to dessert recipes, so having a simple way to make a homemade pie is right up my alley. Nothing says love more than dessert after a meal!
Important icebox pie tip: Lemonade Pie must stay refrigerated until just before serving, as well as any leftovers. Like most desserts, the pie will begin to deconstruct if left out too long in a hot summer sun.
Ingredients:
- Graham cracker pie crust
- sweetened condensed milk
- lemon juice
- whipped topping, thawed
- fresh sliced lemons, optional for serving
How to Make Lemonade Pie
- Add sweetened condensed milk and lemon juice to a mixing bowl and whisk the creamy lemonade filling well (no electric mixer needed).
- Pour pie filling into the prepared graham cracker pre-made crust.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight (or until set, which takes about 4-6 hours).
- Place whipped topping in a piping bag with a large star tip when ready to serve. Pipe whipped topping onto the edges of the pie and top with fresh lemon slices or fresh lemon zest.
- Serve this sweet, creamy dessert immediately. Pie Serves 8.
It’s easy to be a skeptic – how the heck can lemonade make a pie? I get it. And inf act, I am not even a big lemon fan as is. But this no bake pie has my heart and is a great bite of deliciousness that plops on a paper plate right after a party.
Of course, as with most pies, having a whipped topping “takes the cake” (that’s a joke) so smother a bunch of that on and its a win/win recipe.
We live in Florida and while most of the year is relatively pleasant, nothing compares to summer. Ah, summer – the season of sunshine, beach trips, and indulgent desserts! With guests over constantly, having a few ways to whip up a quick appetizer or dessert is a must.
As a professional, I would say that dessert dips are the easiest and best way to get something on the table in like 5 minutes, but if you have just a bit longer, this Layered strawberry angel food cake is an amazing next-level strawberry dessert that readers here on Salty Side Dish just adore.
