What type of crackers can be dipped into a veggie dip?
Any cracker can be dipped into a veggie dip, including wheat crackers, whole grain crackers, pita chips, or heavy corn chips like Fritos scoops. We prefer Triscuits!
As a side note, potato chips can struggle with breakage as this dip is thick and is not our recommended dipper.
What type of vegetables can be dipped into a veggie dip?
Vegetables such as celery, carrot sticks, colorful bell peppers, grape tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, cauliflower, broccoli, and radishes are all great for dipping into the veggie dip.
Easy Ingredient Variations
Veggie dip is a great way to enjoy all your favorite fresh vegetables. Crunchy and colorful carrots, celery, and sweet peppers are all wonderful additions to vary this base dip. Thaw and drain sweet corn to add.
Chopped Radishes, cucumbers, water chestnuts, and jicama can also add a bit of crunch to your dip. Add diced tomatoes, chopped mushrooms, and diced onions for a bit of texture.
Mix in a bit of shredded cheddar cheese for color, flavor, and texture. Looking for spice? Try chopped jalapeno peppers.
Want to thin this dip, similar to sour cream and dill dip, so it’s more potato chip friendly? Add a little mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, or heavy whipping cream and blend until desired consistency for this perfect appetizer is reached.
Easy Veggie Dip Recipes

I’m sorry it might taste good, I don’t know, but to me this is a dumb recipe because FIRST of all it’s called a “Cream Cheese Dip” so I have some cream cheese in the refrigerator, I take it out get all prepared to make it and start and then BAM I see it also requires sour cream. Make up your mind – is it a cream cheese dip or is it a cream cheese and sour cream dip!?
SECONDLY it calls for one packet of dry ranch seasoning mix. If I have a packet of ranch seasoning mix, why the heck do I need this recipe to make a dip!? All I need is that packet!
When we’re looking for a recipe we’re looking to add our own seasonings based on the recipe not looking for a recipe with a pre-made packet!
Hi Karen, first, it does taste good 🙂
Second, a recipe is a combination of any amount of ingredients – in this recipe it uses a premade ranch packet. In some recipes, there are individual spices and seasonings (on my blog and on others). There are really a lot of kinds of recipes whether that is fully from scratch or includes helpful items like ranch or onion soup packets with it combined. I know that we try to provide as many recipes as possible to meet all sorts of needs. In some cases, like my college age daughter, she doesn’t have a pantry full of 10 separate spices so grabbing a premade packet is helpful for her. This is true for many people that keep a light pantry or cannot replenish spices at $6 a container per spice. This is considered a cream cheese dip and yes, like nearly all dip recipes, it has additional ingredients. The cream cheese is the dip base and carries most of the flavor, the sour cream increases the volume as well as makes it easier to dip. Many dips also have mayo or greek yogurt as part of their base. On this site we also have an ingredient based ranch dip without a packet as well as a chip dip without a packet and comes down to specific ingredients. I feel like you are mad but I am not really sure at what…I have nearly 1000 recipes on here for people of all experiences and economic situations. I am sorry this wasnt the dip recipe you were looking for but there really are other choices as well.
I added a little mayonnaise, extra onion powder, garlic powder and chopped up a red pepper. Taking it to the beach today with crackers and chips. Delicious
