Why you will love these TikTok Marshmallow Strawberries.
Campfire Fun – There are a few standard items that most people put over a campfire – smores and hot dogs.
This open-flame dessert mixes the menu with a super fun way to get kids excited to create something new and delicious on the next outdoor adventure!
3 easy ingredients – Everyone loves a super simple recipe, and with only three ingredients, these marshmallow strawberries could not get any easier!
Where did this viral dessert recipe come from?
This viral recipe started on TikTok by creator @pnpenner, who showed her family doing this! We knew the minute we saw it that we just HAD to recreate it over our fire and see how it compared to the original smores.

Ingredients:
- Fresh strawberries, washed, green tops removed, dried really well
- marshmallow cream
- chocolate syrup
How to make Toasted Marshmallow Strawberries.
- Make sure your strawberry is dry. Place onto a roasting skewer.
- Dredge each strawberry carefully into the marshmallow cream.
- Please note: What usually happens is the strawberry will slide down the stick as you press it into the cream. The solution is to put your finger in front of the strawberry to keep it in place on the stick.
- Coat all sides of the strawberry.
- Roast over hot coals of fire, rotating and toasting each side.
- Remove from heat and drizzle with chocolate sauce or syrup before serving.
What did we think about Fire Roasted Strawberries?
These marshmallow strawberries are good. The marshmallow brows and gets a little crispy on the outside and then is ooey gooey on the inside. The strawberry doesn’t heat up too much – unlike traditional chocolate smores, these are not molten lava hot to eat.
The chocolate is a nice touch, too.
Campfire Strawberries Tips
This recipe is most certainly campfire friendly, but if you do not have any trips coming up, try roasting (carefully) over an open gas stove or grill flame. We do not recommend a kitchen torch.
Any heating method needs to be adult-supervised.
While we enjoy the little bit of chocolate drizzle, there are endless possibilities that complement marshmallow and strawberry flavors.
Adult it by adding some balsamic glaze or get sweet with caramel drizzle. Lastly, add some graham cracker crumbs or roll in Oreo Cookie on the outside!
Strawberries are just the beginning of fresh berries and fruits that can be grilled!
Try this trick (and again, dry fruits SUPER WELL, or the marshmallow won’t stick) with apples, peaches, pears, and bananas!
Skip the flame – Want to make these marshmallow strawberries without grilling on a kabob?
Try washing and drying strawberries, melting marshmallow fluff (slightly), dipping strawberries, and then placing them on parchment paper and into the fridge to firm. Serve cold instead of hot!
Serve strawberry marshmallows with vanilla ice cream.
Are marshmallow creme and marshmallow fluff the same thing?
Flavor-wise, most people won’t know much difference.
In ingredients, they vary a little regarding their firm up and shelf stability. As I tested this recipe as it was in the original video, I do not know if changing officially to marshmallow fluff will alter much, but I imagine not.
