Simple Ingredients:

  • dry rotini pasta
  • alfredo sauce
  • chicken broth (we prefer low sodium chicken broth)
  • cooked and shredded chicken into bite size pieces
  • seasonings –  Italian seasoning, chili powder, kosher salt, garlic powder,  black pepper
  • shredded mozzarella cheese or Italian Blend Cheese
  • non-food items – non-stick cooking spray and casserole dish

Unlike our chicken and rice casserole recipe, the chicken in this dish must be cooked and shredded prior to adding to the alfredo bake.

You can quickly pressure cook chicken for meals like this, or to save time, buy a pre-cooked Rotisserie chicken and pull off and shred chicken. 

How to make Baked Chicken Alfredo

  1. Preheat the oven to 425.
  2. Grease a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Add uncooked pasta, alfredo sauce, chicken broth, cooked and shredded chicken, and all seasonings. Combine pasta mixture well in the prepared baking dish.

  1. Cover casserole dish with foil and bake for 30-40 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
  2. Remove aluminum foil from the dish and discard.
  3. Top chicken alfredo casserole with cheese and return to the preheated oven for 5-8 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve immediately with a great side dish like this corn salad recipe.

Ingredients
 

  • 16 oz. dry rotini pasta
  • 32 oz. alfredo sauce
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 tsp. Italian Seasoning
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • ½ tsp. Black Pepper
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
  • Grease a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Add uncooked pasta, alfredo sauce, chicken broth, cooked and shredded chicken and all seasonings. Mix well until fully combined.
  • Cover casserole dish with foil and bake pasta mixture for 30-40 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
  • Remove foil and discard.
  • Top Chicken Alfredo Casserole with shredded mozzarella cheese and return to oven for 5-8 minutes or until cheese is melted. If you want a golden brown top, broil for a few minutes (supervised).

Notes

Serve with Parmesan cheese and a fresh parsley for color. 
To reheat, pop in the microwave till warm. If pasta is a bit dry from fridge add a little milk (or extra sauce if you have it).
