If you’ve ever stared into your pantry thinking, “I want something light but still worth eating,” this is for you. Nature’s cereal is a TikTok-famous fruit bowl made with fresh berries, pomegranate seeds, and a splash of coconut water. It’s bright, hydrating, and takes less than five minutes to throw together.

I’m usually all about cozy breakfasts like casseroles or cinnamon rolls, but now and then, I want something that feels like a reset. This is that kind of breakfast.
Fresh Fruit & Coconut Water – That’s It
The ingredients to Natures Cereal is pretty simplistic. Here is what I used to recreate this trend.
- Pomegranate arils (I used pre-seeded ones—worth it!)
- Fresh blackberries, rinsed
- Fresh blueberries, rinsed
- Coconut water (unsweetened is best)
- Optional: mint leaf for garnish
How to Make Nature’s Cereal in 2 Minutes
- Add your pomegranate seeds, blackberries, and blueberries to a bowl.
- Pour chilled coconut water over the fruit, just enough to surround it.
- Add a mint leaf if you want to be fancy.
- Eat it right away with a spoon.
What Is Nature’s Cereal?
This trend started on TikTok with @natures_food and went viral after Lizzo shared it, saying she was “addicted.” It’s not cereal in the traditional sense, but it’s a creative twist on eating fruit that feels different enough to be fun. Watch the original TikTok here
Were Berries and Coconut Water a good breakfast?
I gave it a shot out of curiosity, and while it’s not life-changing, it’s honestly kind of refreshing. The coconut water doesn’t dramatically change the flavor, but the whole combo is light, juicy, and energizing. It’s perfect for days when you want to clean things up without feeling like you’re on a health kick.
Tips & Easy Swaps
- Eat immediately. This doesn’t hold well so fresh is best.
- Try it with yogurt. If you want something more filling, swap coconut water for Greek yogurt. Thats basically a smoothie bowl.
- Add-ins that work: Grapes, strawberries, or mandarin oranges all fit right in.
- Stick to fresh fruit. Frozen berries can get mushy and water down the coconut water.

If you’re into trying fun new twists on breakfast, here are a few more TikTok-inspired favorites worth checking out:
- TikTok Cinnamon Rolls – hands down, still one of the best viral tricks.
- Donut bread pudding – This is a breakfast casserole that went viral using old Krispy Kreme donuts and its just such a good way to wake up. Stark contrast to this healthy breakfast though!
Natures Cereal (TikTok Trend)
Ingredients
- ½ cup pomegranate seeds also called pomegranate arils
- ½ cup fresh blackberries
- ½ cup fresh blueberries
- coconut water
- mint leaves
Instructions
- Wash and dry all fruits.
- Combine pomegranate arils, fresh blackberries, and fresh blueberries into a bowl and mix well.
- Top fruit with coconut water to the desired level.
- Add fresh mint leaf garnish.
- Enjoy Natures Cereal with a spoon.
Notes
- Skip the coconut water and combine the bowl of berries with Greek Yogurt.
- Drain berries of additional excess water before adding them to the bowl. While removing moisture prior to adding them to the coconut water may seem odd, it will prevent the mix of the two liquids.
- Want to ensure some vitamin C? Try adding mandarin oranges. Other great fruits we suggest are grapes and strawberries.
- This dish should not be made ahead of time and should be prepared and eaten immediately.
- Use fresh fruit over frozen fruit.
