Just like a great fudge recipe, the appeal of this light dessert is its simplicity. It involves a blend of strawberry flavor, cream cheese, marshmallow fluff, and other ingredients to create a blissful, unforgettable combination.
The vibrant, fruity flavor perfectly complements the richness of the cream cheese, while the Cool Whip adds sweetness and texture.

Simple Ingredients:
- cream cheese softened
- jar of marshmallow cream
- strawberry flavored gelatin
- Cool Whip whipped topping, thawed
- Fresh fruit, like juicy strawberries, sliced for serving
How to Make Strawberry Fruit Dip
- Add cream cheese and marshmallow creme to a medium-sized bowl and beat with a hand mixer.
- Fold in the gelatin and whipped topping with a spatula until combined and smooth. You need to make sure the gelatin is fully mixed so you cannot taste the grit in the powder.
Cover the mixing bowl (or put it in an airtight container) and refrigerate until ready to serve, or serve immediately with fresh fruit like apple slices and fresh berries or a dipper like vanilla wafer cookies or animal crackers.
Makes about 6 cups.
Perfect Pairings for Strawberry Fruit Dip
Strawberry fruit dip isn’t just for strawberries.
Consider serving it alongside a platter of various fruits such as grapes, apples, pineapple, and kiwi for a colorful and mouth-watering display at birthday parties or family gatherings.
My kids gobbled it up with Granny Smith apples. This could also be good with vanilla wafers or pretzel crisps for a salty-sweet combo.
Was the TikTok Recipe for Strawberry Cream Cheese Dip good?
Overall, my favorite fruit dip is this marshmallow fruit dip recipe with cream cheese and marshmallow fluff. I thought adding the strawberry to this would make it fake, but I liked it. It wasn’t too overpowering.
At first, I also tasted the grit of the jello, but that went away very quickly.
Dessert dips are awesome and we love this one, but our very favorite party dip is this Cucumber Dip Recipe. If you need something savory, that one is a must!
Hosting Tips for Summer Parties
Planning to host a summer party? Strawberry fruit dip can easily become the star of your spread. Here are a few hosting tips:
- Presentation is key. Serve your fruit dip in a fun, vibrant dish that matches your summer aesthetic. A clear glass bowl can showcase the beautiful pink hue of the dip, making it even more appealing.
- Keep It Cool: Summer parties mean warm weather, so remember to keep your dip cool. Place the serving bowl in a larger ice-filled bowl to ensure your dip stays fresh throughout the party.
- Add Variety: Offer a wide selection of dipping options. The more variety, the more fun your guests will have to explore different flavor combinations!
Common Questions about Strawberry Dip
Q: Can I use real, ripe strawberries?
A: While this dip uses a box of strawberry gelatin to create the hue and light strawberry flavor, diced fresh strawberries are a great creative addition to this dip. If adding strawberries, serve with a chip like homemade Churro nachos to create a great base to hold all the dip.
Can I make the jello fruit dip ahead of time?
A: Absolutely! Just remember that any cream cheese dip hardens back up in the fridge (as cream cheese does) and must be removed about 15 minutes before serving to make it easily dippable.
What other flavors can I use in strawberry fruit dip?
A: While this recipe calls for strawberry gelatin, experiment with other fruit flavors like raspberries or blueberries for a fun twist.
Strawberry Fruit Dip (TikTok)
Equipment
- mixing bowl
- Spatula
- Electric Hand Mixer
Ingredients
- 8 oz. cream cheese softened
- 8 oz. Cool Whip defrosted
- 7 oz. marshmallow creme Jet-Puffed
- 3 oz. strawberry flavored gelatin Jell-O
Dippers
- Sliced Apples
- Vanilla Wafers
- Strawberries
- Pretzel Chips
Instructions
- Place the softened cream cheese and marshmallow creme into a bowl, then use a hand mixer to blend them together.
- Gradually incorporate the strawberry gelatin and Cool Whip whipped topping, ensuring you fold them in until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Make sure the strawberry gelatin is mixed well so there is no grit.
- Serve it immediately with slices of fresh fruit or cover and put it in the fridge until it's time to serve.
Notes
- Room Temperature Method: This is the most preferred and easiest method. Simply remove the cream cheese from the refrigerator and its foil packaging and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This should get it to a nice, soft consistency. However, this method requires a bit of pre-planning.
- Microwave Method: If you’re short on time, you can soften cream cheese in the microwave. Remove the cream cheese from its foil packaging and cut into smaller pieces. Place the cream cheese in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave it for about 10-15 seconds. Check the consistency and if it’s not soft enough, continue to microwave in 5-second intervals. Be careful not to melt it.

This is terrible, I tried to make it for a baby shower and had to redo it with a new recipe. You can easily taste the grainy jello flavor texture, and it really tastes bad overall. Just stick with the whipped cream cheese recipes, they are way better.
Hi Mysti, the grainy powder can be whipped out if you continue mixing. It sounds like it wasn’t mixed as much as the original video or we did, but we respect your thoughts. I would say the combination of the fruit dip, minus jello, is a very common fruit dip recipe alone. If you simply want to replace the Jello flavor with another strawberry version, try Strawberry Nesquik, a strawberry flavored oil, or even something like cherry juice from a can. As noted, we tested this recipe from a viral recipe and didn’t have issues with it, but respect your feedback. Ill put it back in the kitchen to see if I can duplicate your issue so I can write it as a better recipe.
