Why you will love making this Ricotta Dip.
Impressive appetizer – Just as heavenly as a whipped olive feta dip recipe, this creamy Ricotta cheese is the bowl of cheese you may have been missing.
Good enough to be an appetizer at a 5 star restaurant, there is nothing better than a whipped bowl of ricotta as a creamy spread.
Savory and Sweet – Savory, rich ricotta cheese dolloped with sweet, beautiful honey; this dip makes crackers, bread, and crostinis smack your tastebuds with a downright delicious blend of perfection.

How to Toast French Bread for Dipping
We used sliced french bread!
The bread is just french bread, sliced into 1/4″ slices, brushed with olive oil on both sides, and seasoned with salt.
I placed the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and broiled them until they were browned about 3-5 minutes. I didn’t flip, but you could. Let cool before serving.
Recipe Tips
While we prefer honey in our dip, it’s just as easy to change out the topping to a more savory olive oil, lemon, or a fresh herbs and seasoning blend.
Try a bit of rosemary, minced garlic, and olive oil.
While whipping the ricotta, add a bit of orange or lemon zest (or fresh lemon juice) to infuse the flavor into the cheese.
Ricotta is naturally recognizable in various Italian foods, so roasted cherry tomatoes on top of ricotta toast is an incredibly delicious appetizer recipe choice.
Spoon leftovers on top of chicken or fish.
Use kosher salt or flay salt if you like an extra salty dish in your ricotta recipes.
Mix in chopped sun-dried tomatoes, greek olives or spread on top of hummus. Our favorite layered greek dip recipe would shine with a layer of this dip!
Store the container of ricotta cheese dip in an airtight container for up to 2 days in the refrigerator.
What to serve with Ricotta Dip
Whipped cheeses go great as spreadable on a sandwich or bread. Grill or broil up Italian bread, French baguette slices, bagels, or crostninis for best results.
This dip recipe is also a great choice as a vegetable dip.
