Asparagus Pizza with Creamy Goat Cheese and Crispy bacon make up the perfect homemade pizza. Bursting with flavor and done in mere minutes, this gourmet asparagus pizza is your solution to a weeknight recipe to remember!
Who doesn’t love eating pizza? Pizza is about the world’s most versatile and acceptable food. Kids love it, adults love it, it can be served as an appetizer, a party food, a full meal. Heck, pizza even makes a good breakfast!
I have had the pleasure of eating pizza in Rome itself and I will tell you, once you bite off a mozzarella and prosciutto pizza in Italy, you may never go back.
Even though I can’t live in Rome and soak up the daily food perfection (and the 10 extra pounds) on a daily basis, I can enjoy a custom pizza at home.
This asparagus pizza with goat cheese is a perfect weeknight escape when you want a quick recipe but still something that has super flavor.
Crunchy pieces of bacon, a mixture of rich cheeses, and a sprinkling of veggies makes this an almost guilt free recipe that will make you come back for a second, or a third, slice. You can also spice it up with other recipe ideas like Asparagus Prosciutto pizza or even add chicken for some protein.
Personally I make my pizzas in the oven but you can grill pizza too!
Asparagus and Goat Cheese Pizza
There are so many ways to learn how to make asparagus. It’s a pretty strong flavor when it comes to veggies but is oh-so-good.
I love baking up asparagus on pizza, where it has the perfect bite and texture. Funny thing was that it wasn’t my favorite veggie growing up and my kids don’t love it either, but when I can hide it into bread an cheese, they are more apt to try a few bites without having a full on tantrum. I have hopes that some day they will expand their veggie palette if I keep trying to feed them vegetables.
